93 Integra GS Questions
Well I picked up a 93 2 door GS with 120k.
The exhaust is clinging/rattling against something at certain shift pts/speeds. I don't think its the muffler so possibly a clamp, anyone had similar problems b/c its anoying.
Also the major thing b/c I am pickey is the other owner looks like she bottomed out on the sideskirt or atleast where the sideskirt would be on a civic under the front passenger door causing a half baseball side dent and the paint to crack, i can see about a fingers lenght of rust starting that i can actually see from a distance.
What can do to make it from stop rusting more, i'm just going to spray paint it or use some touch up paint for the time being b/c tahts the only blemish on the paint, other than that it looks great.
I also noticed the other day that when i am at a stop light my idle needle seems to bounce to the last line before the 0 then shoots back up like 3 lines, almost feelin like the engine might kill, any ideas waht this could be?
Also on these gen integras do the needles light up at night ? Because mine aren't what could be the problem on this?
Soo...it has exhaust intake header tokicos lowering springs what else can i do to make sure my engine is running strong, i drove it from nyc back to mn with no problems , i am not going to swap until neccessary

All those problems your experiencing is normal...
For the rust, Sand it down smooth to bare metal, Then (i cant remember the name) put on this type of sealant, then paint over it it.... As the needle's go... No they are not supposed to light up... Just the cluster, where the needle is noticeable.

The rattle is probably the a-pipe rattle that many of these cars get. Could also be one of the heat shields around the cat or b-pipe. All are age related. Fairly easy to diagnose and fix usually.
What DarkDB1 said about fixing the paint. Pretty straightforward.
Idle problem - I'd look at the IACV first, but there are a few things that could be.
GOT PICS? What color?

If it's idling rough, one of the two oxygen sensors could be out. You may be able to detect by checking the error readout. Remove the kick panel, passenger side. Behind you'll find a two pin female coupling (yellow?). Insert a wire, effectively completing the circuit. Turn on your ignition, first or second position if memory serves (don't start the engine).
One of the lights in your instrument cluster will begin blinking (can't recall which one but it will be obvious). Unfortunately, you need to have the codes. I will look them up if I still have them. You may do a web search to find them.
I used this method to verify that my speedometer cable was out as well as a possible O2 sensor on my '92 LS.
Best of luck.

I'll check the sensors theres no check engine light on and it doesn't seem that bad.
As for the exhaust, I was thinking the a pipe , its an apexi catback so I'll get that checked sometime down the line.
As far as the dent/rust I think a 5 lb dent puller should do the trick to get it out even though its kind of under the sideskirt and not to noticable but I'll fix it then sand it down and paint a little over it.

Yes, I like the si wheels too, the acura center caps fit perfect. Had them on my other vehicles. I don't really enjoy riding bigger wheels b/c of the road conditions around here, I have bent countless sets of rims over the years.
