o2 sensor
how do you know if this is bad or not, my car runs rich when you get on it, when your in vtec, normal driving it doesnt smoke, also my gas milage sucks, does this throw a cel, when i first drive my car for the first time of the day, i get a cel, turn the car car off then on again and no more light, doesnt happen everyday either, could my blox intake make me run rich?

see thats what i thought, but i had a couple of people tell me that it wont throw a code, could the 02 sensor be going bad and not all the way be bad? to make it run rich but still be good enough not to throw a code? either way i think im going to replace the sensor anyways since it is 12 years old, i guess il see what happens

If you can time it right.....get down to autozone with the CEL on and they can use a diagnostic tool to get a code. And best part is that it is free. I had both o2 sesors damaged because of the shitty shop that installed my header(MIDAS). The car really doesn't seem to run much different except for gas milage and possibly running rich. Get the code then you can tell which O2 sensor it is. There is one pre-cat and one post-cat. Also....go with Sohfast.com or HAP recycling to get an O2 sensor. Alot cheaper that way. O2 sensors don't go bad very often or quickly unless physically damaged.
