Default Wondered about ride

do full coilover setups (i.e. tein SS, hks dragger) have an overall harsher ride quality than strut and spring combo? Was wondering cuz some coilover setups offer like 16-way adjustable dampers. Could you mimic the stock ride feel by setting it all the way soft? If so then it would make more sense to spend a bill or two more and have full adjustability.?

I aksed they same q. pillow ball mounts are preety much needed if you desire to drop your car more than 2inches i think and improve driving response, my friend got the hipermax setup on his rx7, and from what i know is that they are better than the rubber ones, he says he does feel a better comfort in the ride quality...

If you go all the way soft on stiff springs, the ride will be super bouncy. Springs are more comfortable because they are progressive and they get stiffer the farther they are compressed. Coilovers have linear rates that keep the same stiffness no matter how much they are compressed. If you are that worried about ride quality, OTS GC's and Koni Yellows would be a very comfortable, yet highly adjustable setup.
