Default I got a clunk developing...

it is a slight clunk that is coming from the front somewhere like just when i get off the clutch and more on the gas. Sounds kinda like when you car has been sitting for a couple days and brakes rust together a little so when you first move it has break them loose, except im already moving. Seems to do it more in 1 & 2 gear. Its not too bad but i can feel it as well as hear and its slowly getting worse so I am starting to get concerned. my guess would be that I have a CV going, but it doesn't make a noise when I turn. Could it still be a CV joint?

My guess is that a motor mount is dying. The sound is probably the blown mount shifting when the engine twists under acceleration especially when shifting and starting out. Have them checked out.

I would check the motor mount as well. I remember when I had a b16 swap in my crx done in 99 when, supposedly, there were no motor mounting kits...they had to be welded in. The shop never put in a front mount at all and so I had to fabricate one. Without it the motor slammed against the firewall with hard shifts through early gears. It was a very unnerving sound indeed.

All the mounts except the lower left one look good. but that one has always been in bad shape. I had my wife sit in the car with E-brake on and give it some clutch and while I watched the lower engine mount bolt, it only moved like a 1/2 inch even when the car started to drag the back tires. Also the noise didn't really seem related to the movement of the mount, and its more audible from the side of the car than from the engine bay. I'm gonna replace it anyway since it needs it but I think my noise is from a CV joint.
