Default Vtec head Contd

what is more about it and how much more, so if i wanted, i could goto a junkyard and find some vtec heads and port and polish them for a price? or get a brand new one? i heard that there are different phases for the vtec head like stage 1,2,and 3, like 1 is most fuel sufficiant found in the base civic, and 3 is found in the s2000 and nsx, thats what i heeeerd. someone help me out.

There are no stages like that, the heads are completely different.

well yes you could find one from a junkyard

and then you could buy a brand new one, this is obviously going to cost more than a used one.

i haven't heard about these "stages" you talk about....but there are no stages as dubster says

actually there is a 3 stage vtec system. but nothing like you're talking about.
