I just got back from a road trip and during the drive, my shifter got very sloppy and extremely loose. I think it has to do with the shift linkage and have heard that there are some nylon inserts that usually go bad on Integras. I was wondering if anyone had any input on how to go about reaching these to install new ones and also where the best place to purchase these would be. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

it looks like the problem might not be the busings that are in the top of this post...they look like two little washers that are rubber that are right at the bottom of the linkage...anyone know what these are called?

 

I had the same problem with my B&M shifter. I also got the B&M with aluminum bushings kit which makes a solid feel. It does transmit some "vibrations", but I can deal with that. The problem that I had was when the shifter became extremely loose. I took a look and disvovered that the little rubber "o-rings" that hold the shifter in place were not doing their job anymore allowing the shifter to move side to side a lot. I put a little oil on the "o-rings" to expand them to lock shifter handle back into place. That only lasted for a little while. Those little rubber "o-rings" seem to dry out. So my simple solution was to place a tie-wrap on each side of the shifter handle to lock it back into place and there is no more excessive side to side movement.
