As far as I know on integras that is false. I may be wrong because the new accords when running higher octane will advance the spark, providing better performance. But I do not think integras do this, therefore you are wasting money. Stick to what your owners manual says, unless you have some pinging and knocking then premium would eliminate the issue.

As of right now your actually hurting performance because higher octane gas have less BTU's per gallon then lower octane gases.

If it is a stock engine (ie. no forced induction) do what the owners manual states.

I know GSR's require premium, but to my knowlege RS's do not.

the myth i heard was if you do put the higher octane in on road trips, it helps to clean the injectors and increase the mpg ratio by a few more miles to a tank, buts thats what i heard...

Stick with regular gas (87 octane).
Every 9-12 months, add the correct quantity of fuel injector cleaner.
It will be significantly cheaper in the long run and you won't risk a thing.

Higher octane will only benefit you if the car is tuned to take advantage of it.

Like if you had a high boosted setup tuned for race gas, it would make more power because the ignition could be advanced far beyond what it ever could with pump gas.

Essentially, you are wasting your money.
