Default Something missing here?

Just took delivery of my car today, and giving it a final "once over" I came across 2 things..

Is there something missing here?

Also, why is my radiator tube near flat?

the plug in the head is supposed to be there. it keeps the oil from spilling out. as for the flat radiator hose.....im not sure. when you run the car does it inflate again?? if it doesnt, try burping the cooling system and have a coolant flush done.

I figured it was a plug of somesort as I was trying to explain the "Valve cover" concept to my wife.

Not sure about the inflation of the hose, I'll have to check tomorrow. Thanks for the reply

The plug is supposed to be there however the retainer is missing that holds the plug in. It goes over that spot and bolts in on both sides. Also, the hose is flat because that is not the hose for the car. It is obviously twisted to make it fit. I'm sure it serves the purpose, but it is a 1/2 ass mickey mouse job. Are you sure these are the only 2 things that caught your attention? At this point I would wonder what else may be mickey'ed. I would take a closer look if I were you.

that part on your head looks weird because you dont have vtec, thats where the vtec solonoid goes, but since its a non-vtec engine, there is nothing there. i did the same thing when i got my rs, since my bro had a gsr, i was trying to figure out what was missing.

ls integra right? i would replace that hose stat. if that prevents coolant from flowing...boom. its a quick fix so do it. as for the plug being "glued in". its sealent so oil doesnt comeout. its clamped down by them 2 bolts.
BUT thats a lot of sealent. let the motor run to regular temp and keep an eye on that plug.give it some gas too

thats exaclty what a radiator hose looks like when its under a vaccum. Like if someone was testing the cooling system for leaks. I'm not real sure how the hell it ended up like that though, cause you have to take the machine off and then it returns to its orignal form. I would replace that thing real quick.

Ya, that plug needs to be replaced. It does not look factory and thats too much sealant on it. I think the dealer has them for 20 bucks and you might want to get a valve cover gasket also. As for the hose, just replace it.
