Hmmm, Maybe I should have gotten coil overs

How much better are the coil overs? The ride in my car was horrible on bumpy roads, so I hope the kyb's will help.

Nah. Don't stress. It's just a different solution for the same "problem".

That last pic makes it clear. The collar looks like it's designed to retain the bumpstop, so I'd use it as they specify. It shouldn't pose an issue to threading the top nut.

As long as you've got the nut fully threaded onto the shaft and torqued to spec, you should be fine. It looks like you had plenty of engagement in the first pic.

Thanks.

Your description makes it more clear. I placed the parts in this order.

Bump Stop
Fender Washer - on top of bump stop
Spacer

Maybe I should put the items in this order which will make the spacer sink down into the foam bump stop?

Bump Stop
Spacer
Fender Washer - on top of spacer

I did not have the spacer on the strut that is in the car. I read the directions AFTER I installed it - lol

Well next time, read the directions first..:run:
Installations are a lot easier that way. :chuckles:

In order of assembly:

First, install the spacer onto the shaft.
Then install the bumpstop, so that it slides over the spacer.
Lastly, install the washer.. so that the load of the shaft is spread out across the mounting base and provides a backing plate for the base of the bumpstop.
