Default funny oil

HI, I searched threads etc, and i cant find any info, although i swear I saw this thread before... My engine oil has always gone red-brown after about 2k kms, but today i noticed the same hue in my transmission oil while i was checking because the trans. was pinging after shutdown, and possibly rattling between 1st/reverse(something is anyway)

ramble, I just dont trust her right now, is something wrong with red engine oil??

sorry, i've been destroyed with work, transmisison oil is red. also the red in the engine oil can just be the oil aswell, it just depends on the type of oil used.

also I'd be weary of using a 17 year old engine to do a head conversion on. i'd be more logical to swap in a gsr.
