Can anybody tell me why my car won't go into gear when the car is on? Do i just need a new clutch or what?? Has this happend to any of you before??

most times you have to engage the clutch by pushing it in then placing it into 1st gear.......thats when the engine is running, but it sounds like you may have the makings of a bad tranny
