How to set the timing on my Acura Integera.
I have a 1987 Acura Integera that installed a motor in and after it was all said and done the motor would run until it warmed up and then it would die at every stop sign. After all this I was so tired of messing with the car I took it to a shop and the guy advanced the timing as far as he could to keep it running .Since then I fixed the reason that it would not stay idled and now I just want to know how to turn the timing back down to where it is supposed to be.Can any one help me out with the answer? PLEASE

Get a timing lightgun. Loosen the 3 bolts that hold the distributor so it has some play. Look down at that crank pulley, turn on the light, and it aim it there. You see a hash on the block and a hash on te pulley. Move the distributor until thos 2 hashes are as lined up as you can get them. Tighten the dist. bolts back up. Check it w/the light again and there you go.
