Strut bars
i say with a good strut bar you'll feel a slight difference. i know when i had my ebay one on the rear and changed it to my skunk2 strut bar it felt a lot stiffer in back. when i did my tie bar the car also felt stiffer. some may call me a liar or say im making that up but even teg92 could feel the difference after the tie bar went on.

agreed, those strut bars don't do shit its a bling factor, get some nice springs/shock set up or a nice coilover set up and a comptech rear tie bar/sway bar and call it a day..
oh and spoon my coilovers and sways are better then yours...

I must detest. When I installed my Neuspeed front strut bar, the difference was night and day. Of course later I also upgraded to Skunk2 coilovers/Tokico shocks with a Comptech rear sway/tie-bar combo and then again revamped the suspension with H&R Race springs with KYB AGX's.
92-5 Civics shared the same parts as the 94-01 Integras. I don't know about 88....

I am sure you felt a difference, but did it work in your favor or not?
The lower tie bar is probably the most useful of all the bars since it stiffens the back a little, but a sway bar will always get rid of or severely lessen that nasty understeer.
It's all in the physics of the front suspension. Forces are exerted on different parts, those parts are connected to the body at the strut towers. Force from the road and in turning motion are exerted on the towers, which will flex. The strut bar ties the towers together to transfer the force to the other side to give the suspension a somewhat equilibrium.
Huh?
The front suspension shouldn't be stiffened until the back is stiffened or you will just be creating more understeer.
Equilibrium is when the car is just as prone to understeer as it is oversteer. Stiffening the front only creates understeer and making achieving equilibrium harder.
