Clerify HP gaines??

Getting a quality I/H/C/E system will net you some decent gains. I decided to go with Comptech I/H/E since these components were designed to work together as a system, but mixing and matching quality parts should work equally well.
And to the lucky wrx owner
who keeps saying 5 whp max gain on a N/A car, you should know that high compression, small displacement 4-cylinder engines benefit the most from cold-air induction. (prob explains why integras run considerably faster times on cold days) That should be my new excuse when I lose a race.

but F/I cars benefit from the colder temps just as much. that's why large core IC's and nitrous work so well with turbos. but on the turbo front, CAI's are a boat anchor on your car. cold air is uselss, as the compressor will heat that charge up to 600 degrees before it enters the hot side of the IC. we stick to short ram intakes, as the only thing important on the cold side of the turbo is that the intake tract is as straight as possible, and as unrestricted as posible.i might believe a little more on a GSR, where the vtec would benefit a bit more in the upper rpms from a cooler charge, but the teg's bay is desperatley in need of some heat shiels on the intake side (left) so assure heatsoak is kept to a minimum. that 5-10 degrees you'll save will equal a lot more in the end.
