ur looking at spending a couple hundred to have those parts ready... LS-V is a huge build and honestly i dont think your ready to go into it.. research it ... check out "G2ic.com > teg tips > engine > LSVTEC build" read that... and if you fully understand everything they say... feel free just be careful

That is a regular B18 head. I don't know if you're either unaware or don't plan put together an lsvtec anytime soon but you will need a head with vtec in order for it to be lsvtec. And If you knew that already... well... my apologies.

as of boosting... i dont know. never even had a turbo car.

yeah... like he said... u would need a GSR/type r/b16 head to be able to make it work. and like i said... read and learn everything u need to know to do it and be SURE that u know what you are doing before attempting such a difficult build

-Vtec head (gsr/type-r/b16)
-Non Vtec block (CRV:b20 LS/RS/GS:B18)
-lots of fun stuff (new oil lines, cams if needed, valvetrain if needed)
-a few days of back breaking labor
what the LS-Vtec kit you've seen is, is probably just the head gasket replacement that will reroute the oil to the Vtec selenoid which comes on the VTEC heads.... search "howstuffworks:vtec" to really understand how a NON-Vtec head can never produce Vtec...ever

What tegbooster said + 1. It probably took me a week to build my setup and about 4 months of research, reading everything I could get my hands on ls-vtec builds before I even decided to start my build, I also asked questions to make sure I was going in the right direction with it.
Do as much research as you can and make sure your confident in what you are doing before you attempt this build. I used the GE LS-VTEC kit on my engine, it's a nice kit.
