Are you referring to the gasket between the header and the head?

if it was some sort of exhaust leak... even if it was early in the exhaust track (like the header)... then it would have more of a rhythm to it... generally a leak is more of a "pfft pfft" ... also i'd imagine it would only squeak or whistle when at high rpms and the air is moving fast enough to make a whistle/squeak. i would suggest checking out your belts one last time... and see what you can do about a a/v clip of under the hood...im really curious
