I plan on getting a turbo for my 2001 gsr in a few months right now i have a skunk 2 cat back exhaust when i go turbo will that work alright?

 

Yea it will work just fine how big is the piping?

 

i believe it's 2inch piping . not 100% sure though

How much PSI are u planning on running

 

well i would like to run 6-8 psi but it would be on a stock gsr. how much is safe for a daliy driver or the max without messing stuff up?

 

8 is good for a gsr. u can hit 10 w/ a great tuner.

 

with a good tune... safely ur looking at about 7-10... depending on the tune of course. if it's done sloppy... i wouldn't suggest boosting at all until your ready. The exhaust is fine, as long as it's some sort of straight thru style... and 2.5 s2 exhaust is. 2.5 is good size for the turbo as well so enjoy it... now u just need the high flow cat to get that air moving smoothly

 

what kind of high flow cat do you guys run. a buddy of mine has a catco...n e good?

 

and i know this ? has probably been asked before but how much hp gains can i expect to see with that kinda boost
