Ge the stap on valve adjustment tool....it'll make your life a lot easier.

Use an open end wrench to initially tighten down the lock nut(while holding the screw in place), then use the torque wrench to snug it up. Then recheck the clearance.

if you search in the FAQs here you can find a link to the helms manual on pdf. just download that, or get it from www.c-speedracing.com, print it out and have it with you when you do the valve adjustment. made my life much easier. once you realize what you're doing it's easy. just be patient and be sure you do it right. it helps me to have a beer in my hand so i remember to slow down, relax, and not get frustrated if it takes a couple of tries.

my haynes book says to check the valve clearance every 15k miles or 12 months
LOL is this true? im gonna say NO, anyways im going to my car now so wish me luck!

sounds 2 often

well, mabye im lucky but i checked both ides of intake and exhaust and they felt perfect! i checked them and checked them and checked them. did this about 3-4 times and it felt really really good! I kinda figured it might be like this since it ran great nd never made any noise of problems under the hood. ive had it 2 yrs and b4 me was a old lady. when i bought this the clutch felt brand new, car wasnt even broken in. so i left them.
