The GReddy type 24 FMIC would be my choice, as it is designed to work with the GReddy turbo-kit from the start. Also, the intercooler core is reasonably sized; large enough to be effective, yet small enough to maintain an adequate supply of cold air for the radiator core as well.

The bumper support will have to be hacked up to fit the Type 24 in the bumper. There are much better bar and plate designs available for much cheaper. Look into what Precision and Drag have to offer; they will be a hell of a lot cheaper. The only problem is that the Greddy intercoolers come complete with all the piping needed, whereas the others don't.

Forgive me.. I quoted the wrong core number. h:
The type 24 is immense. (11"H x 23.6"W x 3.0"D).

The smaller core (type 31) is listed as 7.3"H X 23.6"W X 3.0" D.
That's the one I had in mind. h:

I agree. The Type 31 is a great intercooler, but the price is just insane. If you want as little of a headache as possible, that intercooler is a basic bolt-on and comes with all the piping, couplings, and hardware needed to put it on without any cutting or welding.

so would it be cheaper to buy a precision or drag intercooler and piping seperate or just go for the greddy FMIC with everything needed???

From my experience Drag intercoolers are garbage :hsugh:

Easiest way to stay pain free is just purchase Greddy's intercooler kit. Comes with everything

Drag intercoolers use Spearco cores, so I doubt they are anything but garbage. GSSR is running one and it is on par with, if not better, than a Greddy 31V.
