ok so i was driving to work yesterday and my car just shut off on me and rolled to a stop i tried starting it back up but it wont it'll turn over fine but wont start running... the fuel pump works fine and i just had a new distributor put on and there are new spark plugs also and the car still wont run any ideas on whats going on? im all ears : /

I have a 94 LS and Im having the same problem I just spent $950 in the shop for all the tune up stuff and timming belt. Mine just shuts off from time to time but it allways starts back up. I just ordered a new distributor because the one I have is an aftermarket one not OEM and the repair shop told me that if the car continues to stall out that this is most likely the problem. check your timming, air and fuel

 

I personally think its ur distributor.

 

Check your fuel injector and try cleaning it.

 

check the rotor, or ur alternator could be bad. Do accessories work?
