Well the intake is very, very simple. U first need to unbolt the air filter, then the filter box ounting bolts, which are easy to see. Then take the hose off. Next get under the car and remove the resonator and such and the pipe off the throttle body. Then you can install your intake. Which is just as simple as running the pipe and like 2 or 3 bolts, very easy.

It's easier if you take the passenger side wheel off to get to the resonator and get that out of the way. There should only be one bolt that mounts under where the OEM airbox was. It shouldn't take long at all to be honest.

God no. Granted I have an AEM one. BTW how does tht 1 keep water out of the engine? The AEM intake has a bypass valve. Just raise ur car on a jack, take off the inner fender lining, and work from there.

You could wash your car, I would recommend doing it yourself and not injecting any water into the fender liner right under the filter, that's how you get water in the filter. As long as you're careful about it, you shouldn't have a problem.
The resonator (at least for me) was a big white box beneath the splash gaurd in front of the passenger wheel well. You'll definitely see it once you take off the 8 or so screw/pop things that hold the guard in.
