would this make my cel pop
okay the idle on my car is dropping really low anjd eveytime it drops really low the CEL light goes off and im just wondering if that would cause this
rpms are dropping to about 200-400 rpms

What year is the car?
Do you know the check engine light code at this time?
If not then I'd suggest you get the code so everyone doesn't sit here and guess
your problem. The idle problem and CEL could very well be linked.
It could be the idle air control valve or fast idle thermo valve (A/T model only).

im driving a 91' ls 5spd 3dr
havent pulled the code yet im doing it today so ill tell you guys or ill just look it up
i think it is because of the idle once the car is revved past 1500rpms its turns off and only does it when hte idel drops really low
