Custom Charge Piping
Its time to start making the charge pipe!
From turbo to inlet of IC and then from outlet of the IC to TB.
HERES THE QUESTION!!!!!!
outlet of turbo intake side is 2".....inlet of IC is 2.5" do i run a 2" pipe the whole way and then a 2"-2.5" coupler right at the IC or a 2"-2.5" coupler right at the outlet of the turbo and then a 2.5 pipe the rest of the way? WITH THAT BEING SAID......the outlet of the IC is 2.5 and the inlet of the TB is 3". do i run a 2.5" pipe the whole way and then a 2.5"-3" coupler right at the TB or a 2.5"-3" coupler right at the outlet of the IC and then a 3" pipe the rest of the way.
I figure both both methods have there pro and cons. you want compressed air but by having larger pipe wont you spool faster?
Major help needed please. thanks

You want to keep the piping at 2" until the intercooler. Then run a 2"-2.5" coupling where the piping meets the intercooler. Then run 2.5" all the way to the throttle body.
I think 3" from the intercooler would lag too much considering that the turbo is pretty small and won't flow enough to minimize lag.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT THIS AND the inlet on the turbo is 3" and most go with 3" piping........what if i make the piping 4"......more air into the 3" inlet. more HP? thought behind this is that the turbo will have an easier time pulling in the air, more air to compress and less friction.........and thoughts?
A 3" pipe with a high flow filter will be fine. Remember, the turbo sucks, so it will get air regardless.
Good luck trying to get a 4" diameter pipe in your engine bay if you don't follow my advice.

YE WELL.........i know turbos suck but
MINE DOESNT
..........
i just figured if it was 4" the turbo would have a esier time pulling in the air it needs, as apposed to it being 2".
4" would be hard to fit i guess
