Speedometer Gear and getting out of a speeding ticket??
I was told and easy way to get out of a speeding ticket is to grind the gears down on the speedometer gear which is on top of the transmission. Then you take your car to a calibration place and have it checked out. If it comes up inconclusive then that means there is something causing it to be off. Then have the part replaced and show receipt to the judge and you can get off with just fines and no points.
How about you just accept responsibility and pay your ticket? ****ing up your Teg is going to cost you money too and there's no guarantees. Or maybe just get a ticket lawyer. I've heard of them doing miracles for getting people out of tickets.
Look at it another way...if you were really speeding, like over 100mph the judge is not going to care one way or the other that your speedo was off. Any moron would know at that speed that he was speeding.
And if you were only speeding a little, like 15mph over a ticket lawyer will be able to help you out.
Grinding down the gear, if there even is such a thing sounds like alot of work for little benifit at high risk.

Well I don't think I was going what he said he clocked me at. He said he got me at 73 in a 55. He had cars in front of him and He was driving the opposite direction. I am not paying the damn ticket because its an automatic 4 points on my license. I can't afford to loose it.
It not the gears that you are thinking of. Its a grear that tells the speedometer that it is off. Its at little gear a little bigger than a quarter and it sits on the back to of the transmission. My friend has done it and they only had to pay for defective equipment with no points. Another friend just took his speedo needle and I moved it and he got the same thing. NO POINTS!!!
