Default cam gears while doing timing belt

well, im gonna be doing the timing belt real soon. and i was wondering if i should go ahead a put in new cam gears. I going turbo now and would it be worth it to get the cam gears AT ALL. Eventually id like to build the motor. like over next winter. should i wait or not

well when u replace timing belt u have to time it and when u install cam gears u have to time it...so doing both at once wouldnt hurt. u might as well replace the cam shafts while ur in there. good luck

without moving the gears...you'll see no difference....if you were to actually USE them...they can help your performance...not sure of gains though

Cam gears are worth nothing unless your gonna get the car tuned. If you plan on just running a turbo and running a basic map and calling it a day then do not buy them. If you plan on going to get the car tuned then yeah why not. Maybe the tuner can adjust them to what should fit.
