And its not farets, its farads. And you dont pair up the caps with the subs, they go with the amps that are feeding the subs. s

In addition to upgrading the ground wire from the battery to the chassis, you can also replace the one that goes from the engine to the chassis, and add another power cable from your alternator to your battery (fused).

ok the amp is not yet purchased but im trying to install a new HU but dont know where to start to get the OEM radio out. some say there are clip that can be pry out with a screwdriver but some say that i need to unscrew some screws on where the tranny is..any suggestion or help?
optimally you would want to go with 2 ga. wire from the battery to a fused distribution block that would then split into two 4ga. wire, one to each amp. since you have a .5 farad cap i suggest using it on the sub amp (i think the rule of thumb is about 1 Farad per 1000 watts). try this setup out and see how u like it, if you see too much dimming maybe look into an optima yellow top battery or high output altenator. for exact ga. wire check your install manual for the amp it should say what size wire you should use.... let us know how things workout,
4 screws in center console
2 under cover under e-brake
3 in the ashtray
3 behind the ashtray
2 in the back of the center kick panels (by yours and your passengers shins)
-the entire center area comes out
2 screws (very back) holding stereo into cage
-that will let the stereo come out freely...
-unhook antenna/wire harness
-wire up new one.. attach antenna..
-a dash kit is worth it ($10 at any best buy install bay/auto store)
-wiring harness will make for easy (plug and play) wiring ($5-10 at best buy install bay/auto store)
then your basically done.... for pics and a full more detailed write up... heres a link... i think they're doing this in a GSR... but all G3 stereos are the same
