i was just wondering how much you guys pay for insurance for your itr's because I am purchasing one in the near future. And are integra's still the #1 stolen car? because im sure that makes insurance cost alot more..

please read the other thread, do not even atempt to buy an ITR unless you are at least 25.

Insurance will make you cry. Integras are scoped out, last week one was stolen out of a locked barn in someones back yard in fairfield. That was just a GSR.

Your father is crazy if he buys this car for you, buy an 06 type-s or a new civic SI, both will cost you less in the long run because they still arent stolen nearly as much as an ITR would. trust me, honestly, you are not ready for an ITR.

1 out of every 200 integras registered is stolen every year.

i'd say there are 2 times more GSR thefts than LS thefts, and two times more ITR thefts than GSR thefts, and with the low ammount of ITRS out there i'd say most liely 1/10 ITR's are stolen every year.

Just be aware of where you take it. I've known a lot of guys with ITRs and many still have kept them. None stolen. Crashed yes, but no theft.

If you are worried go for boomerang as security but nothing beats parking in safe areas. Thieves can take anything if they really want it and put in a lot of effort but the more deterrents , the lower the possibility of it being stolen

Don't forget about getting insurance with your parents. If the opportunity is there, might as well use it.

My car is the 5th car in my family, I told my dad I would pay the difference of what he paid before I bought my ITR-worked nice. Because there are 5 cars, the discount is pretty good, not to mention my company has the lowest rates already.

The 10 most stolen car list in 2004 was 50% integras, so they are definitley hot items-just make sure she's always tight.

Use your judgement about getting the ITR. Between theft/insurance/work/gas/experience. It's good you're not rushing into getting it, justify it to yourself and your bank account before you make a move.

if he's in the states he'll want to have lojack vs boomerang. lojack is integrated into many police systems in the states.

a DEI alarm would be a nice idea aswell.
but i still dont think it's a good idea for a 18 year old to be driving an ITR

We’re all young once, right? I learned on an ITR and I’ll admit I did some stupid things as an 18-year old but in the long run those lessons were better learned young on a car that is relatively hard to screw up in. h:
