If you are worried go for boomerang as security but nothing beats parking in safe areas. Thieves can take anything if they really want it and put in a lot of effort but the more deterrents , the lower the possibility of it being stolen
if he's in the states he'll want to have lojack vs boomerang. lojack is integrated into many police systems in the states.
a DEI alarm would be a nice idea aswell.
but i still dont think it's a good idea for a 18 year old to be driving an ITR
