Default 89 integra starting issues

Hey All
I got an 89 integra 5spd 155k, about a month ago I bought this car and spilled a little water down the passenger seat and the car would not start for an hour after that ran rough but eventually smoothed out again. I just put it on the road today and after i shut it off the first 2 times i start it, it just shakes and dies, 3rd or 4th time it runs fine. I dont understand, it sounds like a cam sensor condition, anybody else have this problem.
If anything needs more clarification, let me know
Thanks

I think on the 89 that the ECU is located under the passenger seat. Sounds possible that you may have got water in it or on the connecters. I would suggest disconnecting the battery, then remove the ECU and if you are able to open the box, do so and make sure it is dry, as well as make sure the connecters are all dry as well. Then reconnect and hopefully that will help.

Good Luck!

The ECU is under the passenger's seat for 86-89s.

How much water did you get in there? It isn't exactly easy to get water under there short of squirting it with a hose.

The computer may be fried if you drove it around like that.
