Not too bad of an install for a 94. Use the radiator drain to drop antifreeze. If its been 2 years, pull the plug out of the block under the exhaust manifold (towards the left side) and complete draining. The housing is on the end of the lower radiator hose. 2 bolts and its out. Front is easy and visible, rear is by feel. Reinstall stat with gasket around edge of flange and dongle hole in the 12 o'clock position. Open bleeder valve and refill system. When air is out, close valve and warm up a couple of cycles. Top off overflow tank and you are done!
I used a Napa stat and it works just fine. I still find that it takes longer for gauge to come up if I turn fan on full blast from the get go. Wait for it to come up and then turn on fan.

Wow I thought I was the only one with this problem. I'm in No cal where it is in the 40s at night. My thermostat hits 1/4 after 10 minutes on city streets, but stays just above or at C on the freeway. Based on the discussion here it seems there is no way to adjust it, only replace it. BTW do you have to drain the coolant to replace the T-stat? I'm about to have a coolant flush done tomorrow.

At the same time have any of you had your radiator leak between the top plastic housing and the metal? I've had that happen twice and I wonder if they deliberately did this to the stat to prevent the radiator from leaking.

stuck open thermostat
buy a Honda replacement, not some garbage "Mr Eddies Garage" replacement.
Of course if your stat is stuck open your car will show up cold on the freeway..you are running full flow on your coolant system and at higher speed your radiator is much more efficient......I just cant beleive it took 20 posts after somebody already said this....why is this thread still going?

Update: I went to the my local trusted mechanic (been going to him on/off for 4 years and hasn't done me wrong. He also lets me into the lift area to see things for myself.) for a coolant flush. He tested my T-stat & said it was fine. Maybe that's just the way the factory setting is especailly with all the posts on this thread.
