Default steering oscillations....

i just raised my 2000 ls back to stock height, b/c:

1-im selling it

2-i was told my springs were shot (apex) and that i needed to replace them and the upper control arm, (drivers side only) as well as a worn camber kit. (again, drivers side only)

i choose to go back to stock height b/c the mechanic had some stock acura springs laying around, and he only charged me $30 for them as opposed to $250 for decent lowering springs.

basically what happened is this:

lowered integra began clunking in the wheelwell area, and the ride became super poor. so i took it to my local guy who has done work for me in the past.

he gets it up on the lift and tells me (and shows me) how the camber kit is worn out, and how the upper control arm is slapping up against the top of the wheel well.

so i tell him to replace the front struts (tokiko blues), install a new upper control arm, remove the camber kit, and install stock springs.

he does this, and i get the car, and its now got steering oscillation, (when i drive, the steering wheel now wants to oscillate back and forth at an ever increasing rate unless i stop it by holding the steering wheel in place.) and i dont know what would possibly cause this.

also, it is now almost undrivable in any sort of wet weather.

i had no problems like this before this work. not even remotely close.

help?

Other than checking for something else worn out- try swapping tires front to back. Any change?
The worn out parts may have ruined the belts or tread on the front tires.

i do know that acura's had a steering issue w/ the brakes...while ur mech was down there did he inspect ur brakes?...i've owned 3 acuras and all 3 have had that little shimmy *sp?* in the steering wheel...but that was only during braking so it might not be ur problem
