Default Springs Retainers. Helllllllllp W/ Finding A Tool

ever taken springs/reatainers off a head still on the block, IN the car? b18c1.... i cant find a tool to do it except from snap on $130
wiuld this work?

I know snap-on makes a valvespring compressor for Bseries motors...it should be pretty similar to the H series one, and that one may even work. Just make sure you pressurize the cylinders so that the valves don't drop into the cylinders. To remove the springs/retainers you don't need the compressor, just give it a nice solid tap with a socket on the retainer. You will need the compressor for install though.

I have a snap-on spring compressor. Just the one you are looking for, in fact. Unfortunately you are a good distance from me and the tool is worth a good chunk of cash. If you want to buy it for $90, maybe we can arrange something.

i made my own. gotta notch it tomorrow then ill post pics.
