Default Water Damage

I have a 90 teg. I left the windows cracked and it rained( for the weekend). I work at an auction so i asked one of the mechanics that work for honda and he said i have to dry the car out and everything should go back to normal. The auto seatbelt light wont go off and the car wont stop beeping. A couple of days later the beeping is less(on and off) and the driver side seat belt wont go back or move at all. I already no how stupid i am and already heard. So please i would greatly appreciate to just get the quickest possible solution

remove the seats and carpet and let them dry seperately. park the empty car in the sun with the windows cracked.

once you remove your seats, including the bottom part of the back seats, just remove the center console. once that is gone, you probably need to remove a few other panels around the car, and you may have to make a slit or two with an exacto knife, and it all should come out. its not that hard.

i recently serviced an Audi A6 that flooded itself(clogged drain plug by the blower motor) and i removed everything from the car, let it sit empty in the sun for a day, replaced one computer component, and put it back together. what you could also do, is get a good wet/dry vac and start sucking up the water. removing the carpet is better in my own opinion cuz all the wire harnesses get to dry properly.

vpuppy u da man. u man man. lol all jokes aside it pretty much dried from

time, crakin the window, and driving with the return open with the heat at

the floor(both on and just return depending on weather and time of day).

The beeping is on and off now does that mean its drying or worse and fried.

Also the auto seatbelt was working at first in the rain but now its stuck in

the open door position.

look for poped fuses for the belts, and the on/off beeping, its probably water causing a wire to ground out. just let it dry out more.
