3k is a decent down payment on something you may be able to get a loan for that someone might be selling.

go for the LS, you can always do a LS-Vtec setup or swap the motor later on down the road. That is the beauty of a Honda/Acura

Or....................just buy an NSX

Or you could boost the LS. The insurance is a lot lower on the LS compared to the GSR, so that might be a good option.

There is no need to swap a perfectly good DOHC motor.

is insurance significantly lower on a LS compared to a GSR? because i found a 4 door GSR and a 2 door LS, i know insurance is higher on 2 door cars, so would the LS be more expensive since its a 2 door compared to a 4 door GSR?

ls should be much cheaper... gsr's are stolen left and right...ls's are stolen... but i'd say gsrs outpace them a good 3:1
