i drive a 91 ls and the plastic trim around the instrument cluster and a/c unit is all cracked and broken and ive been looking for a replacement at the local junkyards. my problem is that mine is red and i cant seem to find any red ones. did they come from the factory like that or did the previous owner paint them?

 

i think they did come in red, but they r so ugly everyone burned them...good luck. iv only seen blue, brown, black, gray

 

The previous owner probably painted the trim piece red.
If that's the only red trim in the car, I wouldn't bother painting the replacement part.

 

its not the only red piece. the part around the power window switches and the cup thing you put your hand in to close the door are also red.

 

Well then, either paint the new instrument trim panel to match, or replace all 3 painted components. h:
