Distributor Wiring Question
Does anyone have a diagram of which wires go to what inside of the distributor? I am mainly concerned with the 4 wires you see after taking off the cap, but all the wires inside would help a lot.
I assume its the same on all integra distributors, but in case im wrong it is specifically for a GSR (b18c1) motor.
Thanks a ton,
Injaigra

Wht/blu and black/yel go to the coil, the other 2 go to the ICM, also called igniter.

the reason why i ask for this diagram is because im using a msd ignition and coil, both external applications, and need to wire two wires into the distributor.

i know that I wont be experiencing much if any extra power from using these, so dont flame me on that please
, i have the parts and just want to install them. I have a couple questions though.
1) Do i have to disconnect the stock ignition? And if so, how?
2) Am I correct in thinking that the tach wire is the blue one? That seems familiar to me for some reason.
3) there was an MSD coil installed before (using the stock ignition), its gone now, but there was 2 wires running into the distributor from the coil, one to the white/blue point and one to the black/yellow point. This was installed before i got the car. There is a black/yellow wire that was spliced in (@ the black/yellow point i think), should I splice that in to my new setup (with external ignition)?

Oh 1 more thing.
My buddy was all confident that he could hook it up, so he wired it up, but he had the two wires backwards. He also spliced the black/yellow mentioned in the above post into the red wire (which was going into the white wires spot because of backwards install).
I tried starting the car and smoke starting flowing out of the distributor. We opened it up and the black/yellow wire was melted. I couldnt see any other harm done, but I didnt take the rotor off or anything to do a thourough investigation. The smoke had to have come from somewhere though I'd imagine, I doubt it was all from the wire.
I stopped at that point and decided to go online to see if anyone had a diagram. luckily i see one posted, and it shows me that he had installed them backwards.
Before trying again I want to make sure I have it all set up correctly.
