I had to change my battery, and now my stock stereo is asking for the code to unlock it, I'm told that and Acura dealer needs the model number and serial number from the stereo itself. Can't they use the VIN number.. or does anyone know an easy way to get the stereo out?

On mine there is a 5 digit code on the bottom of the cap on my fuses under the hood. I think they also put it under the ash trey as well.

 

this happened to me once before - I didn't actually have to take the radio out to see the serial number - mine was on the back of the unit and all I had to do was cram my head behind it (from passengers side). . its really uncomfortable but it saves you the work of getting it out. I think I also used a mirror and then just reversed it. . either way it worked. G/L
