The stock trans is pretty damn robust on it's own.

If the car is not going to be street driven, I'd weld up the stock differential's planetary gears. Otherwise, the Quaife TORSEN diff is plenty sturdy.
As far as internals go, I'd cryo-treat the gearset and shift assembly, rebuild with new bearings.
