hey guys, I am new to the integra scene as i own an accord but i may be buying this guys integra... he said it had a b18 swap (originally it was an rs) and turboed with a greddy kit. it makes 303 hp on dyno.. was wondering if u could tell me anything about a B18 engine and if it is good and what he might have done to internals to allow that much horsepower... He is 2nd owner 1st owner had the engine swap and turbo done... so i have no clue what was put in car he also said it has 25k on the motor swap. thank you for the help...

 

Which B18... B1, C1, C5?

Also, what model year is the car?
From 90-93, the RS/LS/GS models came with the B18A.
From 94-01, the RS/LS/GS models came with the B18B1.

303 whp you say? On a stock motor, the B18B1 Greddy kit only gets you to about 180 whp on 91 octane. I get the feeling that the seller isn't being straight with you.

If he's built the motor to handle 300+ hp on a daily basis, don't you think he'd have pictures to document the build-up?

I'm not sure what engine it is.... and if that is true about the greddy kit then i wonder... although he has it boosted to 16 lb's... he might have meant the greddy turbo timer and the guages... i will find out more info later... but thank you for the info i will now ask for documented 303 dyno charts... and other papers... I didnt think of tha tlol im too naive.. oh its a 1995 rs... with the engine swap to b18 something or another..

be careful. he could be selling this car because it's 150miles from total meltdown and he knows it.

B18B1. There's a difference... in fact there is no motor with "B18" as the designated engine code.

if you do buy somebody's project, you also buy their problems. and even a bigger problem for you is that he knows the problems and you don't. this car is going to be nothing but a big problem for you. i said "problem" 4 times. don't buy this car.
