Many theories abound.. but realistically, they're just letter combinations.
In a nutshell, the RS is the lightest model with the fewest features (no sunroof, no ABS), whereas the LS and GS models have more features (like leather upholstery, a sunroof, etc.) and consequently are a bit heavier.
The GS-R, however, uses a different motor than the rest of the model range. The B18C5 motor has many unique features, most important being the VTEC cylinder head. This head features larger valves and ports and of course, the bespoke valvetrain with two cam profiles each for both the intake and exhaust cams.
All the remaining technical information about each model grade is included in the Integra FAQ.
