Default 95 ls teg - strangely overheating

i was wondering if u guys can help me out. my car's been having issues w/ overheating. i've replaced the thermostat, radiator + hoses, & flushed the system. when i drive, the car's fine. when i stop, it'll start to overheat. both fans work, but i don't think it's the problem. i've had all my work done @ an accredited shop, yet there's still problems that they say aren't there. 4 sure, i'm losing coolant, but just don't know where. the only external leak is just water from the overflow. none of my other fluids show any signs of coolant contamination. about every week or so, i would have to refill my radiator and reservoir just to keep it from overheating. gas is expensive enuff & i hate buying coolant everyweek just to get where i'm going.

ANY INFORMATION WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED...THANX

use water until you get it fixed. its looking like youve got a blown head gasket. get a compression/leakdown test to confirm.

word. Turn on your heat, sniff it, then sniff your exhaust. If you smell maple syrup, you blew your head gasket. You might have to run the motor for a few minutes for the scent to become evident.
