Not going to happen, dude.

You either get a quick spooling turbo or a high power output turbo with a slower spool. You cannot get both.

And no, ebay turbos are junk.

if your strapped for cash, just piece it together overtime with the parts you want, instead of buying a prefab kit. sure the prefab's parts are made for each other, but not everyone who boosts' go with kits.

and ebays (SS) kits are crap. i hear nothing but bad things about them. if they were any good, dont you think those 1,000 dollar kits would get snatched up as soon as he list them on ebay?

umm dude u got a SKunk2 intake a greddy kit aint' going to work for u cause u would have to get an ls kit for that throttle body being placed higher, but the problem is the down pipe won't fit, so u are going to have to do custom work if u wan to get a trubo that is a Kit like greddy, drag and so forth, i would really do some more research casue that is a big thing that u missed!

no no i knew the intake part of the project had to be different since it sits so high. I know i gotta do some custom fabing, NOT SCARED, but I mean like which Turbo is the best size, manifold style, and size of intercooler. I hear that is also KEY. So we got some saying ebay kits are shit and some say there good, hmmmm? Kinda makes me wanna save up for more shit, but i HATE paying for the name! If I were to want a turbo that spooled at 3k what #s would I be looking for? If i want a turbo to have more lag but crazy HP what #s would I be looking for? Examples?
Thanks

bro u need to do your research honestly if u want something spool at 3k u will have less power, however if u don't mind more spool time then u can geta bigger turbo with more hp but won't kick in till later... I personally have a greddy turbo kit with a bunch of goodies and to be honest the power is great and not bad spool time at all on stock internals, i also have a skunk2 intake on my 01 gsr.. My buddy shmoo has the same set up pretty much and he is very knowlegable and i believe he told u the same thing about spool time to power ratio.. but good luck, and as far as custom fabrication i hope u have something to bend those pipes like them "brand name kits", i personally like to pay for the name but have a little piece of mind, because those kits were desgined by enginners, and know much more then you and I.

How long have you had your setup? A week?

There is no telling how the parts will wear after some amount of time.

You are only paying for the name if you get a prefab kit. You could easily piece together a kit with quality parts making more power and based off of a nicely sized turbo for much less. Again, you need to search for the right size for your application.
