you cant unscrew the speaker and take it out through that hole, just take the panel off.

Thanks for the help/suggestions, guys. I'll hopefully be attempting this over the weekend, so I'll let you know how things went.

Okay, I followed all instructions, but popping off the door panel was a bit difficult, and rather than risk breaking something, I decided to leave it be. I'll take another crack at it this weekend. I did, however, pop out the speaker cover and remove the speaker cover, but I really didn't know what I was looking at. Everything SEEMED fine with the wires, but the speakers themselves looked a bit damaged. I took pictures, so maybe when if they're good quality after they're developed and I post them, someone can tell me what I'm looking at?

As for the sound I'm getting out of the speakers, it's very faint, and it's all treble, no bass at all.

yea ur speakers r out most likely, but u shouldnt worry about breaking anything on the door panel removal...cuz there is nothing on to my g2 anyways... (not sure if g3s have it also) but where the panel meets the window (black park) that takes a little technique to put back on and can b a little frustrating for the first time to put everything back in nice and plush good luck

So you're thinking I'm going to have to replace the speakers rather than tweak some loose wires? I feared as much.

You should learn how to pop your door panel off... once you do it and see where all the pins are, it'll be easy for you to do it in the future.

If the speaker is busted, try swapping in another speaker. If the new speaker doesn't work, then you have a different problem.
