Default DSM 450cc Injectors

How much wheel horsepower can DSM blue top 450cc injectors handle? Im using a t3/t04e 57 trim on a b18c1. Just wondering if these injectors are big enough for 15 psi?

No, you would want to go with something larger for 15 psi.

hey man, what do you think they can handle? I've heard along the lines of 300-400whp but thats a BIG range.

250-300 whp seems about right. Anything more will require larger injectors.

You want to have a larger injector than what you need just in case you want to go with more power and it puts less strain on the injector when it is running at a lower duty cycle. This will lead to a longer life and less of a chance of failure.

yeah man, I was just hoping to stick with 450's because there $60 vs $200. I guess I'll be sticking with this sucky FMU until I build the bottom end in December.

friend made 427 whp on his turbo type-r on the dsm injectors which i plan on running on my nitrous setup i'd say safely 300-400 whp .. before you need to replace.

I'd go higher to be on the safe side. Maxing out the duty cycle of an injector is not something you want to do, and fuel system/management is not the part of a turbo setup that you want to skimp out on. Also, running high pressure and small injectors is a bad idea as well, because the pump loses efficiency at higher pressures, and flows less volume than needed...not to mention heating up the fuel because it's working harder. I'd go with a bigger injector.

thanks for the imput guys. For now an FMU, pump, and basemap will be just fine, when the motor is built in December it gets 660cc's and a dyno tune.

How much boost do you plan on running with the FMU and basemap?
