obd1 responds better to mods than obd2. i think obd1 only has 1 oxygen sensor wheres obd2 has 2. :dunno:

and in order for you to swap ecus in your 99 you need of course the obd1 ecu and an adapter harness.

www.jdmhondaparts.com
www.skunk2.com

both have adapter harnesses.

OBD1 ecu's can be rechipped with an aftermarket program.

This has never been proven, and it's really just a rumor started by one of the all knowing import magazines.

They dynoed two cars, one with OBD1, the other with OBD2, before and after with a header, then wrote a huge article when the results were different.

What they neglected to mention is that all engines, regardless of OBD1/2, will respond to modifications differently. It would have been shocking if the results had been the same.

The main advantage is that OBDI can be reprogrammed.

OBD1 are 94-95 integra's.
96+ are obd2

obd1 ecu's can be chipped the obd2's aren't capable of being chipped.

Small variations on how the plugs are on obd2. But nothing tooo significant on the OBD2 and 1 tegs.

You can convert to obd1 for ****s and giggles.
