I ordered a custom made Greddy Turbo CARB plaque a few weeks ago and just got around to installing it. I ordered it from some guy on H-T named Nightrider-gsR that makes them custom from the old Greddy stickers that are no longer available. It won't help me with smog, but the numbers are valid and it will keep nosy cops from questioning the legality of what is under the hood.
What do you guys think?

I also have the intercooler one hanging around, but I have no idea where to mount it. Plus, my intercooler is painted black, so you can't see it anyway. Just in case, I have it in my glovebox.

I think that is a tremendous idea man.
Might I suggest one thing though, replace your radiotor hose clamp with a better screw type one. Those old style oem ones are a killer to take off when they have some age on them, not to mention they are not as decent looking.

I know the turbo kit is CARB exempt for sure. The intercooler, I keep hearing it is pending, it is passed, it is pending, it is passed, so I don't know. The intercooler plaque has a CARB number on it, so it just makes everything that much more confusing.
I'm really stressing about this smog thing because it needs to be done before September 10th, but I am having trouble finding the time to do it. I want to take it somewhere where they will smog it for sure and not waste my time. Some shops won't do it because it is modified, even if the parts are legal, just because the fines are so hefty for illegally passing someone.

Here is an interesting find about the legality of the Greddy turbo kit: http://arb.ca.gov/msprog/aftermkt/de...eo/D-397-7.pdf
It actually shows that it decreases emissions compared to a new car.

I know this is a little off topic, but what was the point in removing the blue valve cover from your teg shmoo?
Sucks that you have to deal with all the smog stuff out in california man, you got to love a state like Indiana where they don't care. You can run a test pipe instead of a catalytic converter and no SMOG checks!!!
