No worries. Since there's an actual EO # on file for the installed turbo kit, there's no fraud, thus no criminal offense.

Now if someone tried to call a DRAG turbo kit legal by virtue of this plaque, that's when I get pissed. That qualifies as fraud.

I'm surprised that GReddy stopped producing the plaques, however.
They couldn't have been that expensive to produce. :eh:

It isn't even visible on the turbo. Check out these pics of the actual turbo, there is nothing that suggests it is smog legal.

You'll need to go to the CARB referee after you swap the JDM motor in.
The catback will pass, assuming you stay under the 95 decibel limit.
The cam gears, throttle body, fuel rail, headers and intake manifold are all subject to CARB approval. That means if they don't have a CARB Exemption Order number, they are considered illegal modifications and you will not pass the smog ref inspection.

And frankly, the B16A has a serious torque deficit (only about 117 lbft) compared to what you could build with your stock motor or a turbocharged USDM B18C1.

But we are wandering wayy off topic here.
We've got a whole forum for Hybrid cars.. let's discuss the swap legality in there..

You guys get rust, but no harsh smog laws.

We get harsh smog laws, but no rust.

Sounds like each end of the stick is shitty. h:
