Well, I'de say that I got off to a great start, I got out of first at about 8200rpm, started running 2nd and at about 7100rpm, he cought me and started running away so I punched it for roughly 2 seconds, it probably got to 8500-8800rpms then as I was about to clutch for 3rd, it went boom. I think its the rod bolts as someone mentioned but I'm not sure the motor hasn't been opened yet, this weekend for sure.. Oh, yeah, its a dry kit that I got from my friends VW GTi.

The redline on a P72 is 8400-8500 RPMs. h:

Not to mention that's about stupid to run that motor, unbuilt, to that RPM level. :uhhok:

 

I was thinking bout getting NOS in the integra im buying...a nice 50 shot and get it tuned where ever possible.. Im guessing the reason it went bad was because

A) Improperly tuned LS/Vtec
B) You probably pressed the red button at like 8k rpms :nono:
C) Thats about all i could think of.

 

thats what you get for street racing. Think of it as an act of god. He stopped you before you did anything harmfull to yourself.
