Teg Lighting question...
Hey Guys, I own an EG but I will be putting the teg front end on my hatch next week or so......not the ITR one the regular USDM one...
Here is my question...I know only the 2 outer lights come on...and the inner lights are the brights.....is there a way I can my the inner ones come on with the same amount of light as teh outer ones all the time and make the brighter by hitting the high beams.....don't really know how to explain this..hmm
Can I have all 4 lights on at the same time without blinding someone...and still have the inner brights??? what watt are the inner/outer lights??? can I lower the lightbulbs wattage so I don't blind people with all 4 lights on???
Also....I did the research for the conversion of the body parts...go that down....but what about the headlights...I'm assuming diff bulbs......any insight on that.....

Outter lights are 9006, they are the night lights. The inner ones are 9005, those sre the day lights. As for all the lights lighting up at different wattage and at the same time, I couldn't tell ya. You'd prolly need to change all the light setup.
I wanted to do the same thing on my integ before i went to the JDM conversion. My first idea was to use the harness bulb from civics and retro-fit them into the high beam because i think they just use one bulb for high and low beams, but i was not skilled enough to perform this on my own. Another idea was to use a high speed drill to make a second hole and put another bulb in there but if you've seen the housing, you'd see that it's difficult but possible. One concern I had in this option was how delicate the chrome housing was. I wouldn't want to mess it up and have it start to flake on me. Also i didn't know how the housing would project the light from the extra bulb. Another idea was to make a ring that fits around the original bulb and can hold another bulb (like the ones in the bumper lenses) underneath the high beam bulb. I would've soldered the power and ground wires to it and amplify the light intensity by using a relay. This option would look ghetto though...in the end i just ended up going jdm. These are just some ideas. maybe they'll help. Good luck!

Why not do a 9005 conversion....It is possible to put the 9005 bulbs where the 9006's go..It just requires a little modification of the 9005 bulb..Check out this link...http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main/Upgrade/More_light.htm

will I still have brights if I make al the bulbs 9005's?????
are the 9005 the regular beams or the high beams..?? Cuz I don't want to blind peeps or get pulled over for bright lights.....
enlighten me some more.....

This conversion is possible, dont' know how the optics would turn out though. But all you need to do is to get a pair of dual filament headlights that would be able to fit into the socket. THe wiring is a bit tricky though. I suggest using a relay setup that gets switched on when the headlights are on. And then hook up the high beam to the high beam harness. Kinda hard to explain, but it will take some planning out.
However, i'm guessing that the angle of the inner lights will always make it appear that your high beams are on so your gonna be blinding people. And when you really turn your high beams on, it will just be slightly brighter.

i would say u couldnt retro fit your middle lights which are hi beam projectors to be on as regular driving lights because their made to be aimed up higher. Even if you retrofitted a 9006 (low beam bulb) into that hi beam socket, it would be aimed up so high that you would be blinding everyone.
the regular beams are 9006 and the hi-beams are 9005. u can also adjust the lights down if you want but then your low/regular beams will be pointed to the floor which will defeat the purpose of having projector lights. hmmm why don't u just use the inner 2 lights/high beams as a marker light instead of an illumination light.
marker lights???
No I was saying having the regular.9006 lights normal...not even touch them except for the 9005 conversion...maybe...
just adjust the highbeams/9005 to the ground so they can be on all all times........
but how can I have the inner lghts as regular beams and highbeams???
