Default strut tower braces

Do these braces actually work and make a diffrence in a cars handling and performance or are they just for looks? Also, do cross drilled and slotted brake rotors perform better than oem rotors? What are the benefits of these upgrades.

Ask this question to your self.. why would you put a strut bar on a car with shocks . They would be the last mod I would spend money on.

Cross Drilled and Slotted, do not perform better then oem rotors. If you put brand new cross dirlled rotors and brand new oem rotors, the stoping distance would be about the same if not a little better with the oem. Many people say they have huge improvments in braking with cross-drilled or slotted, it is mainly due to them replace thier old worn out rotors with new rotors, and usually fluid.

The improvement comes during heavy off and on braking over a extended period of time like you would encounter if you were racing on a road course. Slotted/cross drilled just help keep the brake pads/rotors cool.

Wrong wrong wrong wrong...

Cross-Drilling was never done for cooling it was done to allow gasses from brake pads back in the day a place to escape, slotting is used to keep the pad face clean. Most road racers do not use cross-drilled unless they are running very large wheels due to series rules and run extra large brake rotors, they will then cross drill them for weight savings. I would use cross-drilled rotors on the street before I ever used them on track, since they have a higher likelihood of failure due to the material removed when drilled.
